Acai bowls are the perfect healthy snack! It’s filling, nutritious, yummy and so easy to throw together in your blender – the perfect post-workout or yoga meal! Personally, I love frozen acai, but the powders works just as good! Hope you like the recipe as much as I do!
Ingredients for one person:
150-200 grams of frozen acai, or 2 tablespoons of acai powder
1 frozen organic banana
1/2 dl frozen blueberries
1-2 medjool dates
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon raw cacao powder
*1-2 dl coconut water
ADD ON TOP
This is what you do:
Mix the ingredients together in a blender and garnish with additional berries and coconut chips.
Tips: For best results, use a high-powered blender like a Blendtec or a Vitamix; as the acai bowl base is thicker than a smoothie, blenders with lower horsepower may have troubles processing it. But it depends on if you choose frozen acai or the powder. To get the creamy ice cream-like consistency as above, you should have a little to no liquid at all to get the desired consistency.
*Add coconut water if you choose to use the acai powder, instead of the frozen acai.
